Descripción: In 2014, TAIHUA MARITIME LIMITED was founded as a branch office of the TAIHUA SHIP MANAGEMENT of China in Myanmar. The company got its Seafarer Recruitment and Placement Services (SRPS) License in early 2014 and started the crew manning business ever since. In a country like Myanmar where the dominant demand of seafarers are from South Korea and Persian Gulf Areas, and where most of the seafarers have the impression that Korean shipping lines are the most suitable for them, TAIHUA MARITIME LIMITED changed the landscape and impression of the recruitment industry in Myanmar by proving that the Chinese shipping lines can also provide the service on quality ships with decent working and living conditions on board and with relatively good salaries. In 2018, the company ranked 12 in the “ List of recruitment companies with the highest demand and supply of Myanmar Seafarers” among a total of over 170 companies. The company is currently operating over 30 vessels which is a fleet of bulk carriers, multi-purpose carriers and oil and chemical tankers. Over 200 crews of varying ranks have been employed on those vessels and the number is still counting. Currently, the company provides recruitment and placement services and in-house training. The company has also been in partnership with other local recruitment agencies which mostly are branch offices of Chinese recruitment companies and planning to create a network of All-Chinese recruitment companies.
