Responsibilities and AuthoritiesFamiliarising himself with the details of the vessel’s construction, machinery and operation, safety and other equipment;Assisting the duty engineers as required, in particular with regard to the operation of engine room machinery;Maintenance, greasing and cleaning works as directed by the 2nd Engineer;Assisting during bunker operations;Must abide to the safety management system and security system within the technical department;Any other duties as instructed by the Chief Engineer.Assisting in mooring operations.
