Administration and Maintenance of Technical Systemscharge of all technical aspects of the following equipment:· Bilge water treatment system, including 15ppm oily water separator· All garbage handling equipment, storage area and incinerator Wastewater treatment facilities· In charge of maintenance and daily operation of grey water and sewage;· In charge of maintenance and daily operation of oil water separator;· Ballast Water Treatment System: Discharge arrangements documentation2. Environmental Compliance and Administration· Monitor shipboard compliance, including the administration and record keeping, in regards to all relevant environmental aspects of:o Bilge water treatment, storage and dischargeo Sludge treatment, storage and dischargeo Waste water treatment, storage and dischargeo Garbage treatment, storage and dischargeo Hazardous materials treatment, storage and discharge· Assist in regards to the navigational compliance and provide guidance to the "Bridge Team" as required· On board compliance with MARPOL annex VI, in particular of the Exhaust Gas Cleaning System (EGCS)3. Garbage Management and RecyclingIn charge of all operational aspects related to garbage management and hazardous materials:· Appointed 'Garbage Management Officer' as stated in the Garbage Management Plan· In charge of the time management, duty assignment and workplace training of all garbage handling personnel· Ensure correct garbage segregation at all garbage collection locations as stated in the Garbage Management Plan· Monitor compliance of the transportation of garbage and hazardous materials on board the ship· In charge of garbage segregation, handling and processing at the designated Garbage Handling Room· In charge of appropriate storage of garbage and hazardous materials prior discharge· In charge of all operational and aspects, including notification and record keeping, of garbage discharge
