Deleting an account

In short

You can delete the account yourself: in the CREWINGS app or in the cabinet on crewings.me, Profile → Delete account. No request and no waiting.
Deletion takes effect the moment you confirm: you are signed out everywhere, the password stops working and the profile leaves the candidate search.
The CV, photo, documents and the personal fields of the profile are erased within 30 days.
Company accounts: when the owner deletes the account, the company page and its vacancies come off the site at once, and the company's renewing plan (and its vacancy-promotion subscription) is set to stop at the end of the period already paid. A team member who deletes their account removes only themselves.
Records of payments and invoices are kept without your personal data, because accounting and anti-fraud rules require it.

01Deleting in the app or on the site

Open the CREWINGS app, or the cabinet at crewings.me/app, and sign in.
Go to Profile.
At the bottom of the page, below the sign-out button, tap Delete account.
Read what happens, confirm it is you — with your password, or with the account e-mail if you signed in with Google or Apple — and confirm the deletion.

The screen also has an optional field for the reason. It changes nothing about the deletion; it only tells us what went wrong.

02Deleting by e-mail

If you cannot sign in — the phone is lost, the password is gone, the app is uninstalled — write to [email protected] from the address the account is registered to and ask for the account to be deleted.

We may ask you to confirm your identity, so that a stranger cannot delete someone else's account. The answer comes within 30 days; in practice, within a few working days.

03Company and training-centre accounts

Paid plans. A company's renewing plan (and its vacancy-promotion subscription) is set to stop at the end of the period already paid, so it is not charged again. You can also cancel it beforehand in Plans & billing on crewings.me. A training centre's renewing plan is stopped by our team on request — write to [email protected]; until then it keeps renewing, even after the account is deleted. Refunds follow the Payment terms.
The company page and vacancies. When the owner of a company account deletes it, the company page and its vacancies are taken off the site at once. A training centre's listing and its courses come off the site the same way.
Company balance. An unspent company balance is not paid out: it stays with the account while it can still be restored and is lost once the account is erased.
Team members. When a member of a company team deletes their own account, only that member is removed; the company, its page and its vacancies are not affected.

04Deleting part of the data without deleting the account

You do not have to delete the account to remove something from it.

Photo — open the CV, tap the photo and choose delete. It disappears from the profile and from the candidate search at once.
Documents — every document in the CV has its own delete button; the scan and its details are removed together.
Fields of the CV — phone, messengers, address, next of kin and any other field can be cleared and saved empty. An empty field is not stored.
The company profile — edit or clear its fields in Profile and save.
Anything else — write to [email protected] from the address the account is registered to and say what to delete. The answer comes within 30 days.

Two things stay while the account exists: the e-mail address, because the account is tied to it, and the records of payments and invoices — see section 7.

05What happens immediately

All sessions end: you are signed out on every device, and the password stops working.
A seafarer's CV leaves the candidate search and every company's candidate list.
All notifications, digests and e-mails stop.
The e-mail address is released from the account, so it can be used for a new registration.
If you own a company account, the company page and its vacancies leave the site, and so do a training centre's listing and its courses.
A company's renewing plan (and its vacancy-promotion subscription) is set to stop at the end of the period already paid.

06What is erased within 30 days

The CV file, the photo and any uploaded documents.
The personal fields of the profile: name, surname, date of birth, address, city, region, nearest airport, description.
The contact lists tied to the profile.

The 30-day window exists for one reason: if the account was deleted by mistake or by someone who should not have done it, support can restore it during that time. After the window closes, restoring is impossible — the data is gone.

07What is kept, and why

Records of orders, payments and invoices are kept without your personal data — they carry the amount, the date and the document number, not a person. Accounting and tax law requires keeping these records, and payment providers require them for anti-fraud checks. The same applies to service logs needed to prove that a payment or a delivery actually happened.

This is the only exception. Everything that identifies you is erased on the schedule above.

08Registering again

Deleting an account does not blacklist the address. You can register again with the same e-mail whenever you like — it will be a new account, empty, with no access to the data of the old one. Signing in again with the same Apple or Google account after deletion likewise creates a new, empty account.
