Acceptance of Terms

Using the Crewings.me service (hereinafter — the Platform), you confirm that you have fully read these Terms of Use and accept them unconditionally and in full. If you do not agree with any provisions of these Terms, please discontinue use of the Platform.

1. General Provisions

1.1 Definitions

  • Platform – the website Crewings.me, including all its pages, sub-platforms, mobile apps (if any) and other related resources.
  • User – a natural person who uses the Platform for purposes of job search, obtaining consultations, creating a detailed maritime professional profile or other professional information.
  • Company – a legal entity or individual entrepreneur that may post vacancies, information about themselves and interact with Users (crewing agency, maritime organization, training center, documentation company, etc.).
  • Service – a set of services and functionalities provided by the Platform (including job search, posting and applying to jobs, maintaining a professional profile, communication with potential employers).

1.2 Subject of the agreement

  1. Providing a platform for job search The Platform provides Users (seafarers) with tools to create a profile, display professional information and search for vacancies posted by the Company.
  2. Posting vacancies by companies Companies can publish vacancies and other information to attract potential candidates (Users).
  3. Creation of profiles of maritime specialists Users can create detailed profiles, including personal and professional data, resume, certificates and other relevant information.

2. Registration and account

2.1 Registration process

  1. Data requirements During registration, the User must provide reliable personal data, including but not limited to: full name, valid email address, phone number (if necessary), and other information that may be required for full use of the Service.
  2. Information verification The Platform may conduct selective or systematic verification of the data provided (e.g., email address verification) to ensure reliability and minimize fraud risk.
  3. Email confirmation To activate the account, email verification may be required. The confirmation link is sent automatically after the User enters the email.

2.2 User obligations

  1. Truthfulness of information The User guarantees that all information submitted during registration and/or during use of the Platform is accurate, up-to-date and not misleading.
  2. Data accuracy The User undertakes to update their data promptly (e.g., if contact details, place of work or qualifications have changed) so the Platform can correctly provide services.
  3. Account security The User bears personal responsibility for the confidentiality of their login and password, as well as for all actions taken under their account. It is recommended to use strong passwords and not to share them with third parties.

3. Rules of Use

3.1 Permitted use

  1. Job search The User may use the Service features to search for suitable vacancies, view information about companies and respond to relevant offers.
  2. Posting vacancies Companies may post vacancies and related information giving Users an idea of the nature of the job, conditions and requirements for candidates.
  3. Communication with companies The Platform provides opportunities for direct communication with potential employers or partners: sending messages, applications, receiving feedback on the status of an application, etc.

3.2 Prohibited actions

  1. Spam and fraud It is prohibited to send unsolicited messages, duplicate offers, and any fraudulent activity (including phishing, use of someone else’s data, etc.).
  2. False information It is not allowed to post knowingly false information about oneself, one’s skills, education, work experience, etc., to mislead Companies or other Users.
  3. Violation of rights of other users It is prohibited to publish materials containing personal data of third parties without their consent, as well as any materials infringing copyright and other rights.

4. Rights and obligations

4.1 Platform rights

  1. Content moderation The Platform reserves the right to check and edit (or delete) any content posted by Users and Companies if the content contradicts these Terms, laws, or misleads.
  2. Blocking offenders The Platform may suspend or block access for a User or Company violating these Terms (e.g., posting illegal content, fraudulent vacancies, etc.).
  3. Change of functionality The Platform may at any time make changes, add new features or restrict access to existing features, and, where possible, notify Users about such changes.

4.2 Platform obligations

  1. Ensuring availability The Platform strives to provide around-the-clock service, except for maintenance downtime or force majeure.
  2. Technical support The Platform provides Users and Companies with a channel of communication (email, chat or feedback form) to resolve technical and organizational issues.
  3. Data protection The Platform undertakes to comply with the Privacy Policy, apply appropriate data protection measures and act in accordance with GDPR and other applicable law.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Platform rights

  1. Trademarks All trademarks, logos, brand names and other IP objects used on the Platform belong to their legal owners and are protected by copyright law.
  2. Source code The source code, design, architecture of the Platform and other elements related to the software part belong to CrewingsMe LTD and cannot be reproduced or used without permission.
  3. Design and content The overall design, interfaces, graphic elements, texts and other materials created by the Platform are protected by copyright and shall not be copied or distributed without written consent of CrewingsMe LTD.

5.2 User rights

  1. Posted materials The User retains copyright on any content (resume, photos, descriptions) that they upload to the Platform. At the same time, the User grants the Platform a non-exclusive license to use and display such content within the Platform’s operations.
  2. Personal data Personal data provided by the User is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and data protection laws.
  3. Reviews and comments The User may publish reviews, comments or other materials related to their experience with the Platform, provided that such information is accurate and does not infringe third-party rights.

6. Liability

6.1 Limitation of liability

  1. Job quality The Platform is not responsible for the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of information about vacancies posted by the Company. Each Company is independently responsible for the content of its publications.
  2. Actions of companies The Platform is merely a mediator between User and Companies. All labor relationships, payment arrangements and other obligations arise directly between User and Company. CrewingsMe LTD is not responsible for the actions or inaction of the companies, for their internal policies, financial obligations, the quality of vacancies offered, etc.
  3. Technical failures The Platform does not guarantee absolute error-free operation and uninterrupted service. In case of unforeseen technical problems or failures we will strive to resume normal operation as soon as possible but do not bear responsibility for losses or damage arising from service interruptions.

6.2 User liability

  1. For information provided The User guarantees that all information they post on the Platform (including personal data, description of experience, resume, etc.) does not infringe third-party rights and is true.
  2. For one’s actions The User is solely responsible for complying with the law, for the correctness and ethics of their behavior when interacting with other Users and Companies.
  3. For violations of the terms If the User, by their actions, violates these Terms, the law or causes harm to the Platform and/or third parties, they must compensate such losses in accordance with applicable law.

7. Payment and subscriptions

(This section applies if the Platform provides paid services or subscriptions. If the User uses the free functionality, some points may be not relevant.)

7.1 Tariffs

  1. Price structure Paid services or subscriptions, if provided, may be listed on the Platform’s respective pages. We strive to provide clear information about the cost and scope of services to avoid ambiguity.
  2. Subscription periods Paid services may be provided on a monthly, quarterly, yearly basis or under other models. The terms and duration of the subscription are indicated at the time of order.
  3. Payment methods Payment can be made by bank cards, e-wallets or other methods supported by the Platform. Payment security is provided by the payment provider.

7.2 Payment terms

  1. Automatic renewal Some subscriptions may automatically renew at the end of the paid period unless otherwise notified. The User may disable auto-renewal in their account or by contacting support.
  2. Cancellation of subscription If desired, the User may terminate the subscription before the end of the paid period in accordance with the Platform’s cancellation rules. Funds for the unused period may not be returned unless the refunds policy states otherwise.
  3. Refunds Refund terms (full or partial) are governed by the Platform’s separate refund policy or applicable law. If the User believes a refund is due, they may contact the support service with a corresponding request.

8. Privacy

8.1 Data processing

  1. In accordance with GDPR All personal data provided by the User during registration and use of the Platform are processed in accordance with GDPR provisions (for users in GDPR-covered countries) and other applicable law.
  2. Protection of information The Platform applies technical and organizational security measures to prevent unauthorized access to personal data, loss or distortion.
  3. Data subject rights The User has rights listed in the Privacy Policy (e.g., access, correction, deletion, etc.). Detailed information and procedure for exercising rights are described in the Privacy Policy.

8.2 Security

  1. Technical measures Encryption of transmitted data (HTTPS), secure servers and regular backups.
  2. Organizational measures Limitation of data access rights, staff training and internal information security policies.
  3. Breach notices In case of data leakage or compromise, the Platform strives to notify affected Users in a reasonable time and in accordance with law.

9. Changes and termination

9.1 Changes to terms

  1. Procedure for changes The Platform may unilaterally make changes to these Terms. The current version will be available on the Platform’s page.
  2. User notification In case of significant changes that may affect Users' rights and obligations, the Platform may notify by email to the address provided at registration, or by posting an information message on the homepage.
  3. Effective date Changes take effect upon publication date unless otherwise specified.

9.2 Termination of use

  1. Conditions of termination The User may terminate use of the Platform at any time by deleting their account or contacting support.
  2. Consequences of violations In case of material violations of these Terms, the Platform has the right to block or delete the User’s account without prior notice, and restrict access to services.
  3. Data retention After deleting the account, certain data (e.g., anonymized statistics or archived copies) may continue to be stored in backup systems. Personal data will be deleted or anonymized in a reasonable time unless there are legal grounds for further processing.

10. Dispute resolution

10.1 Resolution procedure

  1. Pre-litigation settlement Before approaching the courts, the User and Platform should attempt to settle the dispute in a claim procedure (e.g., sending a claim by email and providing a reasonable time to respond).
  2. Governing law For Users, Companies and other persons interacting with the Platform, the law of the country of registration of CrewingsMe LTD applies unless otherwise provided by mandatory provisions of law.
  3. Jurisdiction All unresolved disputes in a pre-litigation order are heard by the court at the place of registration of CrewingsMe LTD or in another court agreed between the parties and in accordance with relevant agreements.
